Event with AGT
The American Chamber of Commerce in Angola (AmCham Angola), an affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. was proud to host an event with the President of AGT - Administração Geral Tributaria, Dr. José Leiria and the AGT Leadership.

In the spirit of our continual direct engagement with AGT, and with the objective to maintain a long term and open dialogue with the Leadership of the Angolan Tax Authority, the AmCham Angola hosted this event at the Intercontinental Hotel on Wednesday October 29th, 2025.

For this specific event, we had the opportunity to hear directly from the AGT leadership and receive their direct input and perspective on three specific areas of interest to AmCham members:
1) The VAT Credit Refund;
2) Electronic Invoicing;
3) The Special Contribution Tax.

Beyond these specific issues it was also a remarkable opportunity to facilitate dialogue between our two institutions and introduce our members to upcoming developments in tax legislation and tax procedures.
